TPWD has approved the installation of viewing blinds, natural perching features, and a solar-powered watering source that will be plumbed to drip water into a wading feature to wildlife, birds, insects, pollinators and other species. During these work dates we will install some of the central infrastructure including the solar panel, pump and water feature.

Workflow: The plan is to arrive Wednesday and work Thursday-Friday. Daytime temperatures are rising, so work will begin early and a mid-day safety break is likely.

If you have special skills, interests, tools or questions, contact project lead Charlie Angell charles@angellexpeditions.com  432-384-2307

Weather: Low in the mid 70s, high in the 90’s. Can be colder or warmer. Might rain, might not. Could be windy. Could be calm. Be prepared!

Recommended Apparel & Required Equipment: Refillable personal hydration  device (pack, bottle, cup), hat, sunglasses. Pack prepared to avoid dehydration and heat exhaustion. A sample packing list will be provided @ 10 days in advance of the weekend to registered participants.

Recommended Tools: Recommended you bring your own gloves, small tools and equipment.

Transportation: Ride share if possible. Big Bend Ranch State park Sauceda Headquarters access road is accessible by 2 wheel drive vehicle, however high clearance and 4-wheel drive vehicles are strongly recommended. Be sure you have a spare and know how to use it. Fill your fuel tank in Presidio prior to entering the park. Carry at least 1 gallon of water in your vehicle.
